RIALTO, CA – On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at approximately 1:06 p.m., the Rialto Police Department Communications Center received multiple reports of a two-vehicle traffic collision involving a motorcyclist in the area of Cedar Avenue and 2nd Street. Rialto Police Officers arrived on scene in under two minutes from the time calls were received. Upon arrival, officers located the injured motorcyclist, who was identified as Rafael Martin del Campo, and rendered medical aid.
Rialto Fire Department paramedics arrived shortly thereafter, assumed medical care, and transported Martin del Campo to a local trauma center. Despite the prompt and coordinated medical efforts, Martin del Campo succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 1:47 p.m. by hospital staff.
The second involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigating officers. At this stage of the investigation, neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be contributing factors. This driver was also injured with non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Rialto Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded and is conducting a comprehensive investigation. The investigation remains ongoing.
