Fatal Traffic Collision

On Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at approximately 7:50 a.m. officers responded to the area of Live Oak Avenue, and Terra Vista Drive, for an unknown injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian.  Officers arrived on scene at approximately 7:53 a.m. Rialto Fire Department arrived minutes later and personnel administered life-saving measures to a pedestrian adult female, Isaura Aguirre De Gonzalez, a resident of Fontana, who sustained life-threatening injuries. The driver, Ronald L. Williams was found to be the sole occupant of a white Ford F-150 and sustained no injuries during the collision.

Preliminary investigation indicates Aguirre De Gonzalez was walking eastbound along the north sidewalk of Terra Vista Drive and entered the marked crosswalk.  Williams, who was driving a Ford F-150 was eastbound on Terra Vista Drive and stopped at the intersection of Live Oak Drive Aguirre De Gonzalez proceeded eastbound into the crosswalk, beyond the center median when Williams made a left turn and collided with Aguirre De Gonzalez.  Aguirre De Gonzalez was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries on September 6, 2022, at 12:19 p.m.  The investigation of the collision is still ongoing.  Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this collision.  The investigation is being referred to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office for the criminal filing of CVC 192(c) (2) – Vehicular Homicide charges.
