CAMERON NELSON

Captain Cameron Nelson began his law enforcement career in 2006. Throughout his career, he has served the community and department in various assignments including, patrol, street crime attack team, community services and traffic. Additionally, he has served as the Program Director for the department’s at-risk youth program, Pride Platoon, since its inception in 2010.
Captain Nelson is a Rialto native and possesses a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California Riverside and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice. In addition, he attended the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Point Leadership Program and the Executive Leadership Institute at Drucker University.
He is currently assigned as the commander overseeing the department’s Operations Division which includes investigations, patrol, traffic, crime analysis unit, K-9 team, narcotics, regional SWAT team, and street crime attack team.
