Lieutenant Rodriguez attended the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Academy and was hired by the Baldwin Park Police Department in 2009. In 2012, he lateralled to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, serving at the Morongo Valley Station. Returning to Baldwin Park PD in 2014, Lieutenant Rodriguez resumed patrol duties, becoming a Range Master and a Detective in the Special Investigations Unit. His expertise expanded as he handled multiple cases with the DEA, FBI, and HSI as a case-specific Task Force Officer.

In 2019, Lieutenant Rodriguez joined the Rialto Police Department, where he was assigned to Patrol and the Narcotics unit. In 2020, he was promoted to Sergeant, assigned to Patrol, and later assigned as the Narcotics unit supervisor.

Academically, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Management in 2016 and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from California Baptist University in 2020. He has attended a Public Safety Leadership course at the University of Southern California and graduated from the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute, Class 543.
